ANDREA CARTER BROWN is the award-winning author, most recently, of September 12 (The Word Works, 2021), published for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and three previous collections: Domestic Karma (Finishing Line Press, 2018), The Disheveled Bed (CavanKerry Press, 2006), and Brook & Rainbow (The Sow’s Ear Poetry Review), winner of the Sow’s Ear Press Chapbook Prize 2001. Her work appears in The Gettysburg Review, Ploughshares, Southwest Review, and numerous other journals. Since 2017, she has been Series Editor of the Washington Prize. She lives in Los Angeles, CA. andreacarterbrown.
KATHERINE GEKKER is the author of In Search of Warm Breathing Things (Glass Lyre Press, 2019). Her poems have been widely published in journals and anthologies, including Delmarva Review, Little Patuxent Review, Broadkill Review, and Poetry South. They have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Gekker’s poems, collectively called “…to Cast a Shadow Again,” have been set to music by composer Eric Ewazen. Equally, Composer Carson Cooman has set a seasonal cycle of her poems, “Chasing the Moon Down,” to music. She lives in Arlington, VA. katherinegekker.
