Learn to write from diverse cultural perspectives in ways that appeal to a variety of readers.
Personal stories can be told from a variety of cultural perspectives including those that engage race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, class, and,or another identity. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use your voice and experiences to inform and connect with readers from all cultural backgrounds. In an environment meant to be diverse and inclusive, you will work on harnessing your self-identity to craft a compelling nonfiction character. You’ll leave the workshop with material that can be used to complete a personal essay and a memoir chapter.
In-person class: This workshop will take place at 4508 Walsh St, Bethesda MD.
