Get started with nonfiction!
Work with an award-winning nonfiction writer to find an entry into your next nonfiction story or essay. Participants will study examples of different ways to begin a piece of nonfiction, practice these examples, and then leave with several tools for starting a work of nonfiction. Please bring an idea for a nonfiction piece and a related object or photograph to work with.
Live video conference: This workshop will be held via our online video conferencing platform, Zoom. You can view brief tutorials on using the platform here. On the start date or the day before, participants will receive an email with login info (please check your spam if you don’t see it).

- Create meaning through imagery

- All reading materials will be provided.

- This workshop is designed for writers new to nonfiction, whether coming over from another genre or trying to write for the first time.
