This course will help participants generate the writing of prose poems in class. First, we will take a brief look into the various styles of prose poems as well as famous poets. Next, we will examine literary techniques relevant to the writing of prose poems. Lastly, with the instructor providing writing prompts, we will generate the writing of new prose poems in class. Expect to write 3-5 prose poems (drafts) per class session.
