Want to submit your work to magazines but don’t know how? In this workshop, we’ll talk about what literary magazines are, what editors are looking for in submissions, tips on how to get the most out of a litmag, and the secrets to writing a great cover letter to get an editor’s attention. During the course, you will have opportunities to research litmags to submit to and create practice submissions with feedback. The skills you learn in this course can easily apply to other publication realms, including writing to agents and editors of small book presses.
NO SET MEETING TIME: This workshop will take place over Moodle, which is an asynchronous forum based platform. The instructor will post a lesson and assignment every Friday, and participants have all week to log in and read the lessons/post assignments/comment on other classmates’ work. Shortly before the start date participants will receive an email with login info. Please check your spam if you don’t see it.
