This introductory workshop explores dialogue, the playwright’s primary tool for conveying a story that ultimately becomes a visual, aural and emotional experience for an audience. We will look at various functions of dialogue and we will discuss how actors, designers and directors use dialogue as a basis for transforming words on the page to life on stage. Although the focus in this session will be on playwriting, writers of all genres are welcome.
