What makes a story fresh? Stand out? Publishable? In this workshop we’ll examine a series of contemporary stories to answer these questions and discover lessons on craft, style, and theme to apply to your own writing. In preparation, you’ll need a full-length story (up to 20 pages) completed or near-completed and an open mind ready to take on suggestions for revision. The class will also include some writing prompts and guidance on where to submit revised stories.
