Have you written a story or novel, and you’re unsure of what to do next? Do you feel your story is missing something, and you can’t figure out what that something is? In this workshop-style course, you will learn how to polish your short stories or novel excerpts and take them to the next level. Participants can expect to learn the craft of revision through short weekly lectures that focus on elements of fiction while also having an opportunity to receive practical and detailed feedback from the instructor and other participants on a submitted work. Participants should have one or two stories or novel chapters ready to be workshopped for the course. By the end of the six weeks, you’ll be better equipped in knowing how to enhance dialogue, characterization, plot, and world-building to make your stories more engaging and propulsive.
