Nothing improves your writing like writing, and there is no freer place to experiment, practice, explore and express yourself in words than in your private, daily journal. Ralph Waldo Emerson called his journal his “savings bank,” adding “I intend to make withdrawals, with interest.” In this workshop we will explore a wide range of writing prompts from far beyond the usual literary models. You will learn how a journal can be a legitimate creative undertaking in itself while also serving other more public writing projects.
