It all starts with finding the funny in your life and turning it into material.\nLearn how to recognize a premise\, extract the humor\, and hone it into a stand-up act or funny story. Join an engaging\, workshop class led by a professional writer and comedian who will guide you through the craft of comedy\, from idea generation to polished performance. We’ll study comedians and styles and work on your unique voice in a fun and supportive class. \n\nLive video conference: This workshop will be held via our online video conferencing platform\, Zoom. You can view brief tutorials on using the platform here. On the start date or the day before\, participants will receive an email with login info (please check your spam if you don’t see it). \n\nIn this workshop you’ll:\n\nStrengthen your voice\nRefine your storytelling skills\nDiscover how to turn your perspective into material that connects\n\nTime requirements\n\nReview notes each week – about 30 minutes.\n\nMaterials\n\nAll reading materials will be provided.\n\nWho should take this workshop?\n\nGreat workshop for essayists\, storytellers\, bloggers\, comedians and anyone who wants to sharpen their voice through humor.
