The Writer’s Center (TWC) maintains strict rules regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence and Language Learning Models (collectively referred to as “AI” in this policy) in our writing workshops, classes, and all other programming. These rules are designed to maintain the integrity of the writing practice, protect the work of writers, and encourage personal growth and creativity.

  • AI-generated work is not permitted in any TWC workshop, class, or program.
    • This includes written comments or feedback on other writers’ work.
  • Under no circumstances are participants allowed to upload other participants’ work to any AI platform.
    • Furthermore, participants are not allowed to ask for individual permission to do so.
  • These rules apply to TWC’s participants, instructors, staff, and volunteers.

These rules are not necessarily exhaustive. Situations that exceed this scope will be addressed with TWC’s staff on a case-by-case basis.
