Jade Song

Jade Song is a writer and artist based in New York City. Lauded as “visionary and disturbing,” her debut novel Chlorine was selected as a New York Times Editor’s Choice, awarded the ALA Alex Award and the Writer’s Center First Novel Prize, and translated into four languages. Song’s second novel, I Love You Don’t Die, will be published in March 2026, and their debut short story collection, Ox Ghost Snake Demon, is forthcoming in 2027, both from William Morrow. Their short stories, essays, and creative nonfiction have appeared in literary magazines like Joyland, Missouri Review, Literary Hub, Teen Vogue, and Electric Literature, among others; Song has been a featured speaker, teacher, or presenter at The Writer’s Center, Amherst College, Tin House, The Miami Book Fair, Ellipsis Writing, The Asian American Writers’ Workshop, Montclair Literary Festival, and elsewhere.
