Apply fiction-writing skills to your stories while also exploring the double perspective of memoir. Learn to relive an experience and also reflect on its meaning. Participants can expect to practice using character development, conflict, and dialogue as they write and share (voluntarily) stories that show the tension between the protagonist’s situation then and their situation now. At the end of this four week workshop, each participant should have a good understanding of what constitutes an interesting personal story and at least two strong drafts that can be developed into stories. Note: No meeting November 28.
