Judith Harris is the author of three poetry books, Atonement, The Bad Secret, and Night Garden (LSU and Tiger Bark) and two critical books on poetry and psychoanalysis Signifying Pain: Constructing and Healing the Self through Writing and The Poetry of Loss: Romantic and Contemporary Elegies (SUNY Press, Routledge Press) Her poems have appeared in The Nation, The Atlantic, The New Republic, The Hudson Review, Ploughshares, North American Review, Image, Alaska Quarterly Review, Literary Matters, Poetry East, Terrain, “American Life in Poetry,” American Academy of Poets Poem-a-day, Poetry Foundation’s Poem of the Day, NPR and Verse Daily.
