Ally Ang is a gaysian poet & editor based in Seattle, WA. Their work has appeared in The Rumpus, Muzzle Magazine, ANMLY, and elsewhere. Ang is a 2023 National Endowment for the Arts fellow and MacDowell fellow. Their debut poetry collection, Let the Moon Wobble, is forthcoming from Alice James Books in 2025. What makes the end of the world worth surviving? Ally Ang’s audacious, urgent, and full-hearted debut collection Let the Moon Wobble follows multiple unnamed narrators through crisis after crisis, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to the climate emergency to the rise of fascism in the U.S. With lyrical trips into grief and rage, Ang deftly plumbs the depths of institutions whose aim is to repress and kill queer people of color.

Yet this isn’t a despairing collection. Ang’s narrators refuse erasure. They take up space and tap into the absurdity of debilitating moments. With humor and lyricism, this debut is a testament to the ways queer joy and community fuel resistance, and how we might imagine radical new ways of existing in a world that’s breaking apart.
