Have you been working and reworking the beginning of your manuscript but can’t seem to push past a certain point? Writing a book is challenging, whether you’re trying to finish a first draft or tackle a major revision. In this one-day workshop, we’ll talk about the different road-blocks writers face and practical tips for overcoming them. After a discussion on how to move beyond the detours, you’ll make a plan for finishing your manuscript, set deadlines, and learn ways to hold yourself accountable to your goals. You may even find another member of the workshop to act as your accountability partner. If you’re ready to finally finish writing your book, this class is for you.
In-person class: This workshop will take place at The Writer’s Center, 4508 Walsh St, Bethesda MD.
In this workshop you’ll have:
- Learn a variety of practical tips to help you finish your draft or revision
- Create a loose outline or beat sheet
- Decide on a goal and set deadlines to keep you on track
- Discuss ways to stay accountable to your goal(s)
- Brainstorm solutions to common writing roadblocks

- No time requirement outside of class.

- This workshop is for intermediate and advanced writers who are ready to finish the first draft or a major revision of their book-length manuscript.
