Learn to make your characters pop off the page by making their interiority come alive!
In this one-session workshop we’ll dive into the creative writing workshop buzzword “interiority” so that you can use it to flesh out your characters. We’ll talk about why interiority is so crucial to characterization in both fiction and creative nonfiction and how to make it feel vital and exciting. We’ll also discuss the crucial differences between interiority and the dreaded “telling” (as in “show, don’t tell”), looking at examples from published writing. Then we’ll try out some exercises so you feel confident about adding interiority to your writing.
