We all read for pleasure, but a writer also reads to learn. It feeds a writer’s writing practice. In this generative workshop, each week we will become familiar with the work of an established poet as a means to examine elements of craft and draft their own poems. This course also includes an optional workshopping element to receive feedback from your peers and the instructor.

Brandon Blue is a black, queer poet, translator, educator from the D(M)V. Their work has or will appear in Foglifter, Frozen Sea, &Change, and more. His chapbook, Snap.Shot (Finishing Line Press) was named in Poetry Mutual’s Best Books of 2023.
