About Laura J. Oliver
Laura J. Oliver, MFA, is a story development editor, newspaper columnist, NPR contributor, and writing mentor who has taught at the University of Maryland and St. John’s College. The author of The Story Within (Penguin Random House), Oliver teaches others to write successful short stories, novels, memoirs, and personal essays. Oliver’s work appears in national publications such as The Washington Post, Country Living Magazine, The Writer Magazine, The Sun Magazine. Her editing clients have landed book contracts with publishers such as Simon and Schuster.
