Write 4-6 micros (stories 300 words or less) of fiction or creative nonfiction that are both standalone pieces and linked — and that dive into lyricism and emotional complexity.
Draft and develop a series of micros (stories of 300 words or less) that are both standalone and/or link into a larger whole.
In-person class: This workshop will take place at The Writer’s Center, 4508 Walsh St, Bethesda MD.

- The art of micro stories with a focus on structure, concrete detail and lyricism, emotional complexity, and thematic links.
Time Requirements
- 1-2 hour between the two sessions (students will be asked to write drafts to review in the 2nd class, so, there will be homework)
Materials
- All reading materials will be provided.
Who should take this workshop?
- There should be a strong interest in generative writing. This workshop will not cover the basics of creative writing, so there should be writers with some experience (or more) in creative writing.
