Get a jump on submission season while you raise money for The Writer’s Center!
Each autumn, thousands of lit mags and journals open their portals/queues/websites to read your work. We know that submitting on your own can be a slog, so let’s get it done, together!
The Writer’s Center is hosting our first ever Submit-o-rama, a jam-packed afternoon where you commit to submitting your work for 4 hours, and enlist your friends and family to support you (and our programming) along the way! Grab some sponsors to cheer you on and dig in on submitting. Bring your laptop and spend the afternoon with us, and end with prizes and a celebration to commemorate your work and the funds you’ve raised!
The donations you raise will help pay for
- Our public programming (including readings, panels, and craft chats)
- Bi-monthly open mics
- Quarterly mixers
- Creative writing workshops
- Scholarships
- And more!
As a fundraiser, you’ll receive a 30 minute submission crash course on best tips for submitting and a one month free subscription of Chill Subs!
You’ll spend your time submitting to a minimum of 20 literary journals and magazines to get your work out there!
In return for you hard work, we will have prizes like totes, gift certificates, and more!
Once you’ve registered, you will receive an email with a personal fundraising page to send to your loved ones.
