Learn essential tools for writing non-fiction narratives in a variety of different styles and formats.
The workshop will allow beginning writers to learn the building blocks of researching and writing non-fiction works in different formats and lengths, from first-person writing to essays and magazine-style pieces. The only catch: it has to be true.
In-person class: This workshop will take place at The Writer’s Center, 4508 Walsh St, Bethesda MD.
In this workshop you’ll learn how to:
- Write with power and clarity.
- Tell a narrative story.
- Identity characters to drive the story.
- Develop an eye for color and detail.
- Connect with the reader.
Time Requirement
- 30 minutes a week of outside reading and writing.

- All reading materials will be provided.
