Turn your favorite poems into new and original work.
Our poetic inspirations are a kind of chosen family. In this workshop, we will explore the ways we can ethically be inspired by and pay homage to the writers we align with, the ones who form our “literary lineage.” Choosing from both existing prose and poetry, participants will generate new work. We will explore strategies and forms including allusions, found verse, ekphrastic, centos and golden shovels.
